History of Hampton Manor

Hampton Manor is a registered historic property. The main house was completed in 1825 but the full history of the estate dates to 1664. Hampton sits on the second highest elevation in Calvert County, approximately 40 minutes from Washington, D.C. and 40 minutes from Annapolis. Our Partnership

Hampton Manor has long partnered with an important local nonprofit, Freedom Hill Horse Rescue. Freedom Hill maintains its headquarters and operations on the grounds of Hampton Manor.

The mission of Freedom Hill is to save older, abused and severely neglected horses to rehabilitate and provide lifelong sanctuary with dedicated daily care and love.
